Thanks for the welcome. And thank all y'all for the great web-site. We're looking forward to learning and sharing, on it. Hope to meet lots of y'all in person, in Joplin this August.
Myself and two neighbors made the drive four years ago, and many of the historic sites we stopped at are in my novel, 'Murder & Mummies on Route 66,' although 90% of the action takes place in and around Albuquerque, NM--a state that I personally have visited numerous time and love.http://www.wrparkbooks.com
My mother is from Kingsport TN. I am in Rancho Cucamonga right off Route 66 and have just begun restoring the Historic Aztec Hotel on Route 66 in Monrovia. Small WORLD!
Joe just got back from Driving to Rote 66 International Festival in Victorville on Tuesday. Stopped in Illinois on way back to try and find out where Route 66 and Route 6 cross each other in or around Joliet..
Joe, Sure you can quote me! And I meant it. Putting in your CD never failed to put a smile on my face or add a little energy kick during the longer stretches between pull-offs. (Though it's not good to be too charged up when you're driving a "arrest-me-red" Corvette!) I also play your CD frequently in my garage when I'm working on my cars.
BTW, I was given a copy -- signed by your entire Road Crew -- from a good friend and fellow Roadie: Denny Gibson. He heard you in person somewhere and got all of you to autograph the CD, then he gave it me as a send-off present the day before I began my Chicago-to-L.A. Route 66 trip (back in '08). It was the perfect gift!
Thank you very much Joe! It's been a great day so far! I took my 21 yr. old Son & his Girlfriend to Emma Jean's Holland Burger for lunch. While there I met up with Ron Warnick & Emily Priddy from OK! After that I was able to give them a tour of the CA Route 66 Museum in Victorville CA! An awesome day!
The Road Crew - America's Route 66 Band will be the opening act for the International Route 66 Festival this year! We'll be playing on Main Street in Galena, Friday evening at 6pm and on Main Street Joplin Saturday night at 7:30. We will also add a mini-concert to this list at Afton Staion at 1pm Sunday afternoon. Hope to see you guys August 2nd thru the 4th, 2013!

I did take Route 6 to an older alignment of Route 66 I do believe according to the material I have.

Thanks, Joe. I appreciate the welcome.
Actually, "you" went along on my Route 66 cross-country ride... I had your CD frequently in the Vette's player! A real boost when I needed it.
Hi Joe,
Please give me your dates for September 2012, so i can come and see you.
All the best.
