Get More Kicks On Route 66
Just south of Staunton, Illinois, on Route 66 (today it is Route 4), was a small mining town called DeCamp. All that is left today of this small town is the old General Store. Bill Osborn and Lynn Puryear now live in the General Store. They also own the property directly east of the old electric railway that ran through town. Saturday September 8, 2007:
Row…row…row your boat, let’s just say that we thought we were going to need a boat to get out of Tulsa. Thunder storms rolled though all night long, with very heavy rains. For example they had 3 inches of rain between 12:00 am and 2:00 am, and the weather service predicted

What a day! It is my last day before I start my new job next week and I was ready to get the heck out of Dodge. John picked me up at 2:30 pm from Overland Park, KS. We traveled down US Highway 69 to Riverton, KS and we picked up Route 66. Due to time constraints we did not stop by Eisler

The Road Crew - America's Route 66 Band will be the opening act for the International Route 66 Festival this year! We'll be playing on Main Street in Galena, Friday evening at 6pm and on Main Street Joplin Saturday night at 7:30. We will also add a mini-concert to this list at Afton Staion at 1pm Sunday afternoon. Hope to see you guys August 2nd thru the 4th, 2013!
