It's gotta be different things for different people. I remember the first time I had my first adventure on the mother road it really resonated with me for some reason, and I had no idea why. I just found myself wanting to go back. Every time I found something new. From magazines to Michael Wallis book, I'd find myself wanting to go to those places.

Just got back from my first route 66 Trip of the season, and like always, route 66 never stays the same. It's always different. It's amazing that in the 20 plus year's ive been in love with the mother road how much of it has either died or revived. It always makes it interesting. It makes it worth seeing again and again.

Hi all again I am gonna be @ the Red carpet corridor event in chenoa il May 2 and 3rd 2009. I am doing a fundraiser for my 3yr old son to help with his trips to St. Louis MO. to the childrens hospital eye center. My wife and I headed to Saint Lou-ee yesterday. Our main purpose for going was for the annual stamp expo. I was very pleased to acquire a few route 66 pictorial postmarks one for Hamel IL which had a car cruising along Route 66 and one for Collinsville IL it pictured the World's Largest Catsup Bottle.
