List Of My Favorite Route 66 Places
Cuervo Cutoff; The road to Painted Desert Trading Post; Amarillo; 9 foot section between Miami and Afton, OK; crossing that graceful, sweeping bridge in Galena, KS.
Hey, Pat! In your picture, is that the Mackinac bridge in the background? Weren't you on the one year anniversary of American Road Mag chat the other day? I had just joined. Lots of great folks! Hope you get to enjoy your Corvair on Route 66!
The Road Crew - America's Route 66 Band was the opening act for the International Route 66 Festival, August 2-3. Performed on Main Street in Galena, Friday and on Main Street in Joplin Saturday night. Performed for over 15,000 people in Joplin! Their mini-concert at Afton Station that Sunday afternoon was a big hit with visitors. We had a great time on Route 66! Hoping to see everyone in Kingman next year!
