Route 66 Road Trip-Day 2

Saturday September 8, 2007:

Row…row…row your boat, let’s just say that we thought we were going to need a boat to get out of Tulsa. Thunder storms rolled though all night long, with very heavy rains. For example they had 3 inches of rain between 12:00 am and 2:00 am, and the weather service predicted
another 2 inches by 3:00 am. Needless to say, we were lucky and not effected by
any flooding. Af

Route 66 Road Trip-Day 1

September 7, 2007

What a day! It is my last day before I start my new job next week and I was ready to get the heck out of Dodge. John picked me up at 2:30 pm from Overland Park, KS. We traveled down US Highway 69 to Riverton, KS and we picked up Route 66. Due to time constraints we did not stop by Eisler
Brother’s. We did drive by the Rainbow
Bridge between Riverton
and Baxter Springs, but because of the rain, we did not stop. Our next stop was

On the road again

Ok, less than 24 hours, the hubby is picking me at work and then we are off to OKLAHOMA! To drive the entire OK Route 66. We have never been further west than Tulsa so I am really looking forward to seeing new places on the Route.

Hello Madalyn,

Your travel sounds good.
I do not do any Route 66 trips anylonger. The one and only was last year. That was my big trip.
I will leave America next year so I wont be participating here anymore. I do not really have any good experience and information as the other members do. That is why I am quite here :=)

I am trying to do other travels within the US without leaving before next summer.

Annabel and Haley are crazy nice funny people. I had a blast!
Route 66 was a great experience and I wished I could do it again, but time is running and I have to visit other places.

best wishes
alexandra

Hi there,
How are you both doing?

I was just today online and checked Route 66 webpage. I have to confess that I am not really participating anymore.
I have so many other things I have to take care of. It is getting too much.

I just wanted to say hello.
best wishes
