Get More Kicks On Route 66

Row…row…row your boat, let’s just say that we thought we were going to need a boat to get out of Tulsa. Thunder storms rolled though all night long, with very heavy rains. For example they had 3 inches of rain between 12:00 am and 2:00 am, and the weather service predicted
another 2 inches by 3:00 am. Needless to say, we were lucky and not effected by
any flooding. Af

What a day! It is my last day before I start my new job next week and I was ready to get the heck out of Dodge. John picked me up at 2:30 pm from Overland Park, KS. We traveled down US Highway 69 to Riverton, KS and we picked up Route 66. Due to time constraints we did not stop by Eisler
Brother’s. We did drive by the Rainbow
Bridge between Riverton
and Baxter Springs, but because of the rain, we did not stop. Our next stop was
Bax
