Greetings Mark! Thanks for the friend add. Great to meet you. Looks like we have much in common, too! Hope our paths intersect on Route 66 someday soon. You can aslo find me at Facebook and at the PostmarkArt.com website. Ride Always. Ride Safe. Ride On! ~ Yer landrunnin' Friend, Ken
Thanks for the comment Mark ! Was reading your page.....I've been to Oatman many times myself. I have some pictures I took there. I will try to get them uploaded soon. Also one of my fave places. I also love photography as well. I took almost 400 pix on my RT 66 road trip last summer and was only gone 10 days ! Take care !
Liked the photos, Have read both of Lois' books and know her and her husband, Austin Vince of Mondo and Terra Circa. have yet to find a good book about anyone travelling 66.
Thank you. I'm envious of the fact you were at the Riviera. I tried so hard to get down there before they closed, but the schedule and weather were always bad. I bet you had a great time. Did you get to see the vaults? I went past it this weekend and it's sad to see it there. All that history. I keep hoping someone will re-open it one day.
Mark, yeah, I have talked to him many times over the years when I have gone through Selifman.
Sorry to hear about your camera incident happening at such a bad time...Weirdy, I had a camera incident closer to your neck of the woods, in London. It resulted in my buying the camera that I use the most on Route 66 now.
I don't know if the Fun Run had an official photographer. It might be worth checking on.
Mark,
We went as far as Cuba last fall on a 2 day trip. Check out my blog for details. That is the farthest I've gone along 66. I really enjoyed seeing the places in person, as opposed to photos online or in a book. BTW, I caught the end of RV on TV and enjoyed their version of "Kicks on Route 66".
