Drove from Chicago to Santa Monica ... y'all know what that means!
Wonderful trip realizing a long time ambition to drive Route 66.
Looking forward to my next trip down the Great Diagonal Way.
Why are you here

There are some wonderful drives there and most are obvious (around Haleakala, the Kameamea Hwy loop, etc.). Don't let peoples' scare stories keep you from trying certain routes. Honoapiilani Hwy is passable. You can go past Hana on Maui. Be cautious but find out what's possible for yourself. Don't let others dampen your sense of adventure. Good luck!
Yeah, the other shot I considered was me at age 7. Who knows, maybe I'll swap them out.
Remember, 66 starts at a Great Lake and ends at the Pacific Ocean!
Plenty of space at either location to scuba. Cheers, Travis
The Road Crew - America's Route 66 Band was the opening act for the International Route 66 Festival, August 2-3. Performed on Main Street in Galena, Friday and on Main Street in Joplin Saturday night. Performed for over 15,000 people in Joplin! Their mini-concert at Afton Station that Sunday afternoon was a big hit with visitors. We had a great time on Route 66! Hoping to see everyone in Kingman next year!
