John wouldn't that be Saint Louis MO for the CORB. Was that in October 2008 for the 1st annual car show and cruise. If so, I was there and it was my time to the bridge. We parked and walked from the IL side over. I can't wait for this years show.
John, I'm glad you're making your way around the site and I hope the bug does its thing. From your quote, "I put the bug in my wife's ear about Springfield, IL in September." I'm planning to hit St, Louis when I get my 55 Chevy pickup ready to go. My wife and I will drive up from Nashville. I want to retrace alignments through St. Louis for starters.
John, Can't help but respond to the Deals Gap sign - I rode it in 1981 on a'74 Norton Commando - great experience. When you're in Miami, OK check out Vintage Iron (right on 66). Too bad you can't make it to Arizona - Sitgreves Pass is the best motorcycle ride on 66 (and maybe anywhere!) Keep the wheels on the ground - Mike Mogel

About Me:
Still around, just not very active. My wife and I are getting ready to hit the road next week for more adventures down Route 66. This time it will be from Tulsa west. Since we are so far to the east, we have to stay at the Munger Moss overnight. This makes the third time for me.
List Of My Favorite Route 66 Places
Munger Moss is the favorite.Stayed twice on the first trip. Loved the sign lit up at night.
Most memorable is wandering Route 3 in Illinois trying to find the Chain of Rocks bridge and encountering some really "special businesses" that had me a little nervous.
