I've had an interest in route 66 since I was a teenager. I wrote an article for the Route 66 Pulse that was published 1/25/2007. I hope to add more articles to my resume. My grand-daughters call me Papa Joe. I plan to tour more of the Mother Road when I retire in a year or two. I've only seen 66 from the Il, Mo and Arizona perspectives.

This is a work of art, so we are trying not to rush it. Really, been busy, but hopfully this summer we do hop to get a start on it if nothing else. Unfortunately we have to do first things first hare, like take care of local customers/business, which sometime alone is a 10-12 hour day.
We haven't forgotten and will do it. If you ever get close by again, please stop in even if just to say Hi.
Actually I work in the Chicago office and even at the mines the yellow rainsuits aren't used. Been in two of our mines and it's quite an experience. Been in the mine at Weeks Island, LA and Fairport Harbor, OH. I may or may not be at the Litchfield festival, still working on it.
And they look good on you! Great Morton Salt shots! I'm waiting for the yellow raincoat shots. You do have a yellow raincoat, don't you? - Are you going to be in Litchfield for the festival? Hope to see you there? - I'll get out my January issue of Route 66 and look for your article.
