I'm leaving Santa Monica heading to Chicago starting July 6. I'll be riding my '03 Road King Classic. I'll let you know any tips after the trip. But for now, internet research, maps and books are the best way to plan.

- I think Hot Rods to Hell was filmed on some parts of Route 66--I like that movie, its retro stupid. The guy driving the Corvette looks like Greg Brady.
