Hello, I'm new here. Since my travel on the 66 in 2009, I'm a collector of items from the Mother Road. I particulary appreciate tin signs and all these kinds of kitchenware. I'm looking for Sakura dinerware. I'm unfamiliar to this site and I don't know if I can post pics here ... My wife collects thimbles. Those from the Route66 and those from the cities and states crossed.

A friend of mine sent me a second set of Route 66 Quarters. They are for sale at the $10.00 price. Thanks. Chris

Hi. I just recieved my Route 66 elongated quarters. What a great set. There are 8 different ECs. One for each state with the miles that are in the state on it. They are rolled on the state's quarter. Mine were died green so you could make out the state. The cost was $10.00 shipping included. They are from Tyler Tyson at zyturgion@hotmail.com. Even if you do not collect ECs , they are a great souvenir of the Mother Road. Chris

I am now looking for coins, medals, tokens, elogated coins, etc. from route 66 towns. For instance I have 150th anniversary coins from Broadwell IL, Sherman IL, and Cuba MO. I am still trying to locate one for Litchfield IL.

I just added some new pictorial postmarks to my collection they include: Collinsville, IL picturing the Catsup Bottle, Hamel, IL with a car cruising along route 66, and a set of 5 covers for stamp show New Mex Pex 2008 that feature a route 66 shield for the postmark and the cachet on the right. I will scan them and post to my collection album. I picked up most of the covers at the annual St Louis Stamp Expo yesterday. I also added some new elongated coins to my collection from Union Station.

Ron just added a new piece to his collection. A tattoo of Tow Mater, from the Disney/Pixar movie Cars, on his back. I am sure is it a great representation of Tow Tater from Kansas's 4 Women On The Route in Galena. Maybe one day Ron will post a picture of all his Route 66 related skin art or have a book written about him.

Hi Group, I do collect alot of things. Route 66 efemora(sp?)(Paper goods) which also includes postcards, elongated coins dealing with Route 66, Petrified Forest Items(from all the petrified forest in the US), Minerals(Quartz) and Petrified wood. So I guess I fit in here. That's all for now. Chris "A Colorado Route 66 Roadie"

As an descendant of the Mother Road, I guess I'll fit in here too. I've definitely got a collection of priceless artifacts and enjoy the fellowship of the Route 66 family. Thanks for the invite and I'll consider myself one of the original "dirty dozen".

I can not wait for the flurry of activity. I also posted the new name to several other groups and forums. Hopefully, that will bring more people on board and Joe will reach his 250 member goal.
