Well, it is now official. I am under contract to Voyageur Press for another book. This one will profile the ghost towns of Route 66. So, ideas, suggestions, or input would be most appreciated.
The second item pertains to a potential cruise east along Route 66 to photograph sites for inclusion. We are planning on the first week in October dependant on when I can take vacation time. The bad news is we will have but seven or eight days so it will be a whirlwind adventure. Anyone interested in talking Route 66 over coffee as we roll east and then fly west towards home?
The last note pertains to another new project, actually two projects. We have launched a limited edition series of numbered and signed prints profiling icons of Route 66 and ghost towns. These are Gilcee reproductions. This is not a cheap process but the quality led us to go this route.
The first in the icons series is of the HillTop Motel in Kingman after a fresh snow at sunrise. In the ghost town series the first release is of an old cabin amidst a sea of flowers and cacti in the old mining town of Chloride, Arizona. Bob "Croc" Lile recently opened a gallery in Amarillo and has graciously offered to sell these prints.
If you would like to schedule a gallery showing of our work, a book signing as we head east, would like to order prints, or are in need of stock photos from the southwest or along Route 66 please let me know.
I hope to see you in Flagstaff. I will be at Barnes & Noble from 1:00 to 3:00 and taking in the festivities before this.
