Event Description

The city of Pontiac, IL will be one of the liveliest places in the nation on June 25, 26, 27, and 28. Over the course of this long weekend, the city will host four major events, the Walldogs will be in town to paint 17 large outdoor murals on the sides of downtown buildings, Pontiac P.R.O.U.D will hold its annual Heritage Days Festival, the Rustic Auto Club will host its annual “Hang Loose” Car Show, and a Cruise Night will grace the courthouse square on Saturday night. Associated with these events will be live entertainment on the square, the Mighty Vermilion Duck Race, a Bean Bag Tournament sponsored by the Boys & Girls Club of Pontiac, and much, much more.

"Jane Diaz gave a preview presentation about the four-day long event that will take place in June, at the Livingston County Historical Society meeting Thursday. Diaz presented some sketches of the murals and three of them were released at [ http//www.diazmedia.net ] ...

The event is scheduled to take place over the June 26-29 weekend.

Also slated to take place that weekend are the Hang Loose and Cruise-In car events.

According to Diaz, the Walldogs event will feature 17 murals at 16 different sites. Painting sizes will vary in size and the walls surfaces will be treated."
