I was THRILLED to meet Bob by chance while I was traveling Route 66 this past September.

I had re-adjusted my schedule the first Tuesday I was on the Mother Road so I could meet Melba at 10a, then spend the afternoon later with Laurel. While I was sitting in Afton Station chatting with Laurel and Ron M, Bob pulled up in his Mustang. I enjoyed listening to his stories, and we had a wonderful visit ... a cool aspect to an unforgettable afternoon along Route 66.

Bob's artwork of Route 66 is amazing, and I'm glad I have several of his for my
collection. Later in my journey, it was cool to see Bob's old place at Hackberry.

Due to my own recent health issues, I will have to miss the meeting. I am waiting for an appointment with a doctor and need to make myself available whenever there is an opening. Please pass on my best wishes to Bob.

For 13 years Cheryl & I have considered Bob as a dear and close friend. We have spent many happy hours with him over the years from Springfield to San Bernadino and at the Hackberry General Store. The best time was driving 66 with him in our Mustang in 2004 for three days and camping out with him.

I was already scheduled to drive from CA to WI the weekend of the show and would be hitting Springfield on Sunday. It's too important and the scheduling is too much like Kismet for me to miss finally meeting Bob in person.

Would love to be there. Family obligations in Nashville will keep from it. God bless Bob and all in attendance.

Hi, I would love to attend, but I have been very ill for the past two weeks and can not make the trip. I had the good forturne to meet Bob in California a few years ago. I have lots of his post cards and drawings in my collection. He will be missed by all Route 66 Roadies, Present and Future. Chris. "A Colorado Route 66 Roadie

I am going to try and do some re-scheduling in order to make the trip. I met Bob in Amboy (4/24/08) and believe I would have met him previously in Hackberry. I doubt if weather will permit me to ride my bike so I'm checking out other options. I am working on and hoping to attend this important event. Don Gray

Never met Bob but have seen and enjoyed much of his work. We would love to see his last show but in England we are too far away - but we will be with you and Bob in spirit. Ken and Eileen
