The National Route 66 Festival is an annual event celebrating the historic road that runs from Chicago, IL to Santa Monica, CA. The National Festival is held in a different location on Route 66 each year. Visitors can talk with famous Route 66 authors and artists who are dedicated to preserving the Road through their work. A Car Show, showcases well preserved and restored vehicles from the past 100 years. This years National Route 66 Festival is scheduled for Amarillo, TX June 19-21. A must do for the summer of 2011.
