The Bobby Troup Award of Artistic Recognition goes to The Road Crew!
The International Route 66 Association awarded The Road Crew with the Bobby Troup Award of Artistic Recognition! The band has had a presence on The Mother Road with their music and audiobooks all about Route 66 for several years now. “It’s overwhelming to be recognized by the people you love so much” said Joe Loesch of The Road Crew. The award was presented by Bob ‘Croc’ Lile at the Deep In The Heart of Route 66 festival in Amarillo last month.

WHS Observer newspaper article
Hi. My name is Abby and I am writing an article about Route 66 for the WHS Observer at my high school and I was wondering if anyone would share any interesting stories or details that he/she has experienced while traveling the “Mother road”.

The Road Crew gears up for another Route 66 adventure
This past weekend my wife, Lori and I added a day to a business trip to Chicago so we could drive to Joliet on 66. Lori has done parts of 66 with me but not this stretch. After brunch at Louis we headed out for Jolieet. Lot’s of interesting sights along the way, but I think the big thrill for me was to see my band’s CD on sale at the Joliet gift shop. Elaine greeted us and spoke of the sights to see nearby. There was another couple visiting the gift shop
