WHS Observer newspaper article

Hi. My name is Abby and I am writing an article about Route 66 for the WHS Observer at my high school and I was wondering if anyone would share any interesting stories or details that he/she has experienced while traveling the "Mother road".

The Road Crew in Joplin! Aug 2013

The Road Crew - America's Route 66 Band was the opening act for the International Route 66 Festival, August 2-3. Performed on Main Street in Galena, Friday and on Main Street in Joplin Saturday night. Performed for over 15,000 people in Joplin! Their mini-concert at Afton Station that Sunday afternoon was a big hit with visitors. We had a great time on Route 66! Hoping to see everyone in Kingman next year!
